Full Tilt FTOPS

The Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS) is the second largest online poker tournament in the world, after the Pokerstars WCOOP.

It first ran in August 2006 as an eight-game tournament series offering a guaranteed prize pool of just over $1,000,000. It was such a success that Full Tilt have since gone on to host another thirteen FTOP events with FTOPS XV due to run this February when more than $17 million will be paid out in prize money.

These kind of tournaments are hugely popular with online poker players, as it gives people the opportunity to win a huge amount of cash for a relatively small investment. In fact, with so many FTOPS satellites running, it's possible to win a seat in the main tournament without investing a cent of your bankroll.

FTOPS Qualifier Bonus

FTOPS Qualifiers

Your mission (should you chose to accept it) is to qualify for the same FTOPS tournament as many times as you can. The player holding the most entries to a specific tournament will receive two additional tickets to the tournament and the player in second place will receive one additional entry into the tournament.

History of FTOPS

As mentioned above, the FUll Tilt Online Poker series ran for the first time in August 2006 when it was won by "crownnginger" who picked up $161,000 for his efforts. The total prize fund was guaranteed at $2m which turned more than a few heads at the time.

Since then, the tournament has grown and grown. It currently runs every three months and the current tournament (FTOPS XIV) will see $17m awarded to Full Tilt poker players.

One of the major changes that has been introduced since the tournaments launch is the introduction of a leaderboard which keeps tracks of a players performance in all FTOPS events both past and present. A player is then awarded chips based on how deep they go in a particular tournament.
