UB.com announce WSOP Qualifiers

It’s around about this time of year that the online poker rooms start announcing what sort of WSOP satellites they’ll be offering to their players.

Party Poker announced their qualifiers a few days ago and now it’s the turn of UB.com who it seems will be putting players first in their bid to find a Main Event Champion.

If you manage to win your WSOP seat through the UB.com qualifiers, you’ll be be awarded a package worth $12,000 which includes a seat in the Main Event and money for travelling expenses/accommodation.

You’d expect something similar from most online satellites. However, UB.com are going a stage further by giving all of their qualifiers extra cash just for wearing a load of UB.com gear while they’re playing.

This additional prize money will break down as follows.

• Turn up and play – $1,000
• Make the second day – $2,000
• Get Paid in the Main Event – $12,000
• Play in Day 5 – $13,000
• Play in Day 6 – $14,000
• Play in Day 7 (or make the final 54) – $16,000
• Play in Day 8 (or make the final 27) – $20,000

So far, that all sounds pretty good to us … especially as this money will be on top of any winnings you make in Vegas. But let’s go one stage further. Let’s see what happens if you make it to the November Nine as a UB.com qualifier.

• Finish in 9th – 6th place – $100,000
• Finish in 5th place – $150,000
• Finish in 4th place – $200,000
• Finish in 3rd place – $400,000
• Finish in 2nd place – $700,000
• Main Event Champion – $1,000,000

In short, UB.com looks like they’re going to be one of the best value poker rooms out there for 2011 WSOP qualifiers. Not only will they give you a free seat in Vegas, but they’ll actually pay you just for turning up to play.

This looks even better value when you consider that buy-ins for satellites cost as little as $0.10 meaning that everyone can take their shot at winning it big. On top of that, there are super satellites costing $530 which will run on a weekly basis and satellites into them for just $11.

However you decide to get to Vegas though, make sure you make a note of the of the following dates. Two 25 Seat Guarantees will run on Sunday June 12th and Sunday June 26th (both at 16.00 ET) and anyone serious about attending this year’s WSOP will want to make sure that they’re there.
