The WSOP this year has been given a pretty cool sounding twist with the organisers announcing that 2011 will see the introduction of ‘Rematches.’
These new events will repeat some of the greatest moments in WSOP history as some of the world’s best players face each in a series of head-to-head games.
Party Poker are holding a “Card Rush” event throughout April where they’ll be giving away prize cards to 1.8m players.
The event started on 1st April and is scheduled to continue until 30th April or until the 1.8m cards are given out, so if you don’t currently have an account with Party Poker, we’d suggesting registering your details now.
There are just over a couple of weeks to go now before the Full Tilt Online Poker Series XX gets underway.
The action will begin on 17th April and run until 1st May by which time a guaranteed $38m will have been given away in prize money. Satellites for the big events have already started, so there’s no excuse not to get over there and claim your share of a life changing amount of money.
It’s around about this time of year that the online poker rooms start announcing what sort of WSOP satellites they’ll be offering to their players.
Party Poker announced their qualifiers a few days ago and now it’s the turn of UB.com who it seems will be putting players first in their bid to find a Main Event Champion.
Barely three months after Jonathan Duhamel was crowned the WSOP Main Event champion for 2010.
But the action is due to get under way with Party Poker being the first room to roll out their 2011 WSOP Satellites. The 2011 tournament will once again be held at the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino with 58 tournaments scheduled to run from May 31st to July 19th 2011.
Carbon Poker has announced that for one week only they will be increasing the prize pool in their weekly guaranteed tournament.
When the popular $50k Guaranteed runs this Sunday, the tournament will actually be played for a prize pool of $100,000. In an additional change, the tournament will also include a re-buy option for players looking to maximise their chances of success.
