All eyes on Friedman as UBOC 6 prepares to start

Prahlad Friedman is sure to be in the spotlight as UB prepare to host their annual online poker Championship – UBOC 6.

Friedman recently caused a huge stir in the poker community after agreeing to join Team UB one week after fellow professionals Phil Hellmuth and Annie Duke decided to sever their ties with the site.

He will no doubt be looking to put the latest press attention behind them though as he hosts two of the championship’s tournaments: Event Number 13, a No-Limit Heads Up Hold’em Event with a buy-in of $1,000 + $50 and the big one – the UBOC Main Event with a buy-in of $1,000+$50 and a guaranteed prize pool of $1m.

Friedman won’t be the only pro hosting events though. In fact the event will kick off this weekend with UB Professional Eric Baldwin hosting a Hold’em event with a guaranteed prize pool of $250k.

Baldwin will then go on and host the largest event of the Championship – event Number 16, a High Roller Deep Stack event with a buy in of $2,000 + $100 and a guaranteed prize pool of $750k … something that is sure to attract some of the world’s top players!
