These are the guys that you see on the TV week in and week out. They're the ones who are continually battling for the big pots and the shiny bracelets. They've been playing for years and have poker in the blood. They're the best of the best and prove it on a regular basis. They're the best players in the world and rightfully deserve to be recognised wherever they go.

Male Poker Players
Although things are starting to change, there's still no doubting the fact that poker is very much a male dominated game. So to be one of the top male players takes some doing. 	Phil Ivey - Ivey is one of the most well known poker players in the world. With seven WSOP bracelets to his name, he's also one of the most succesful and draws crowds wherever he plays.
	Howard Lederer - Known as "The Professor," Lederer is one of the most tactical poker players out there. A worth member of the Poker Hall of Fame, Lederer has won over 30 WSOP tournaments and picked up two titles.
	Gus Hansen - Hailing from Denmark, Hansen has grown to be a huge draw on the poker tour. His ability to read hands and play the most unlikely cards mean that The Great Dane is one of the most entertaining players currently on the poker circuit.
	Daniel Negreanu - Negreanu is as well known for the big smile which is usually on his face just as much as his amazing ability to put his opponents on a hand. A Pokerstars embassador, Negreanu hails from Canada and has won 4 WSOP titles.
	Doyle Brunson - Without doubt, one of the greatest players of all time. No matter what happens at a poker table, you can pretty much gurantee that Doyle Brunson has seen it all before (in fact, the chances are he came up with the idea!) and has the bracelet to prove it.
	Phil Hellmuth - He may not be the most popular man on the tour, but Phil "The Poker Brat" Helmuth is certainly one of the most colourful. Whether it's due to his motor mouth or his obsession with fancy dress costumes, if Phil's at the table you can be sure you'll know about it.

	Annie Duke - Initially taught poker by her brother, Mr Howard Lederer, Annie Duke is now a respected poker player in her own right and can be regularly seen fighting it out for the biggest cash prizes out there.
	Jennifer Harman - A fully fleged member of Team Full Tilt, Harman is the only female poker player to have won two WSOP bracelets in open events and has a tournament record worth over $2m in prize money.
	Liz Lieu - Don't be fooled by those sweet looks - Lieu is one of the most agressive and succesful players on the female tour with over $1m in tournament earnings.
